The Story Behind the Photo:
Hello, my name is Colleen Began. I have been in love with fishing ever since I can remember. I grew up spending my summers at my cabin on a small lake in Northern Minnesota. I was told by my parents that they had to basically drag me off the dock at night when it got dark.
I enjoy all kinds of fishing, including small local lakes for crappies, ice fishing Northern Minnesota lakes for walleyes, river fishing for monster sturgeon and Lake Michigan for Lake Trout, Coho and King Salmon.
This particular fish was caught out of Lake Michigan with a good friend of mine who has the same passion for big lake fishing as I do. It was caught in the early hours of the morning with a glow spoon. It took me over 25 minutes to land. It weighed a little over 21 pounds.
